When Colombian-born singer-songwriter-producer Annasofia released her debut EP Primer Intento on October 2, she wasn’t just dropping songs, she was laying down the first full-length chapter of a story that began at age seven, when she started playing drums, and continued into her teenage years writing songs in Bogotá. A few years (and a mentorship stint at Art House Academy in Miami under the guidance of producer Julio Reyes) later, Annasofia is nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 2025 Latin GRAMMY Awards.
Her sound (a blend of rhythmic pop, beat-driven rap, and raw power ballads) is as personal as it is bold. Behind that sound is something familiar: Annasofia has long trusted KRK monitors. “The first monitors that I used were KRKs,” she notes. “Those ROKIT 5s are still in my studio in Colombia. They helped me make all my first productions, so I have a deep love for KRK.”
Fast forward to her new apartment in Miami: this time around, she chose the fresh-faced KRK Kreate 5 Studio Monitor to anchor her creative setup.
“Sometimes, you just want to check a mix quickly without connecting the whole interface,” she explains. “The Bluetooth connectivity on the Kreates makes that super easy.”
That convenience matters, especially when you’re bouncing between rough ideas, vocal takes, and late-night inspiration. And though Bluetooth isn’t always the go-to in pro studios, the Kreate 5’s versatility, compact footprint, and accurate response make it a compelling pick for rising creators and seasoned pros alike.
