Orchestral Versions of Mozart Pieces Needed for Placements

Orchestral instrumental versions of Mozart pieces are needed by a music licensing company that’s building a new classical music collection for film and TV placements.

Please listen to the following examples to get an idea of what could potentially work for this request. Don't limit yourself to just these references though because any original, orchestral-based performances of Mozart's instrumental compositions will be considered for this pitch:

Mozart - Symphony No. 41 in C Major, K

Mozart - Symphony No. 38 in D major, K. 504, "Prague"

Your covers should stick to the original melodies and arrangements so they’re easily recognizable. Anything that sounds stiff, obviously quantized, or MIDI-driven won’t work for this pitch. Poorly produced and/or dated-sounding instrumentation won’t get this company excited, so please pull out your best virtual instruments for this request.

All submissions should be between 2:00 to 4:00 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded endings will work best. Use the references as a general guide for the overall feel, texture, and tone. Broadcast quality is needed.

This company offers an exclusive deal, so please be sure the instrumentals you pitch for this opportunity are not already signed with other companies or catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the company. You'll get 100% of the arranger's share, and the publisher will get 100% of the publisher's share. You must own or control your master and copyright to submit.

Note: Please double check to make sure the material you submit is indeed a Mozart composition. In case you’re unsure, here’s a link that will help: Musical Works of Mozart

Please submit as many instrumentals as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis—no full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, Dec. 12.
