SONOR Drums announced on Wednesday that they have welcomed "Mexican drummer, percussionist, and electronic music programmer Federico Caballero Ruíz, better known as FDFX (Fedefex), to the SONOR artist family."
"Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Federico has spent his life surrounded by music. Raised in a family of musicians, Fede’s passion for rhythm and sound emerged at an early age," a statement reads. "Over the years, he has developed a distinctive drumming style that has earned him recognition across Mexico and beyond."
"Known affectionately in his hometown as 'la metralleta de la batería' ('the machine gun' of the drums), the nickname perfectly matches the strength and passion he puts into his technique, which comes through across different musical genres."
“I choose to use SONOR Drums because of the quality of their sound. It reflects the passion with which they make the drums, and what I hear in my head I can do with SONOR Drums,” states Caballero.
"Federico is currently performing and recording with La Casetera, Inspector FT Panteón Rococó, and Los Claxons, continuing to expand his musical impact across Latin America’s most beloved bands. With decades of experience and a relentless dedication to his craft, Federico continues to push musical boundaries and now does so as an official SONOR artist."
