New Girl
“New Girl,” is a track off of my first record, ‘Also Know As Mary,’ an introspective look at my personal process and shadow. “New Girl” is about allowing the light, faith, trust, nature and stillness to carry me through the darkness of anxiety, co-dependency, and separation—separation from God, myself, and others transporting me to my authentic self. Releasing the old story and standing in the new, the truth.”
I Pray
This is my prayer for unity. A reminder that truth is one, paths are many and that at the center of knowing that we all struggle, lies the Oneness. It’s about this being a time to ‘Lay down the guns. Lift up our hearts one by one’ because ‘there’s room for all to run and play’. ‘In the silence we pray. In the silence answers lay.’ And I honor all paths that lead us to the place of silence within where Heaven IS and where we ARE truth, love, peace, and free.”
Never Happy
“This is a song from my second record, ‘Come Closer’ a record that was more ego driven, with songs about lust, desire—and “him”. ‘Never Happy’ is an ode to the ego and the title speaks for itself.”
I AM That I Am
“This song was written through me when I sat down to intentionally write my ‘Long Time Sun’, a Universal prayer for the world to sing with no direct association to any organized religion but a celebration of our Oneness to all life and all space in between.”
The Great Prayer
“Also know as ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ or ‘The Our Father’ was something, growing up in an Episcopalian school I recited a million times and had no idea what the hell I was saying. I studied the prayer a couple years ago and while I am not affiliated with any organized religion, I found it to be quite rich and inspiring. A simple and powerful reminder that I am in Heaven, right here right now, a belief I have carried with me for decades. When I sing ‘Our Father who art in Heaven’ I sing to and from the Father and Mother at the center of my being where Heaven lies.
The bridge section was something I was strongly guided to declare which was to say, ‘Oh Father please forgive us too, for we KNOW what we do.’ I feel that the evolution of the human experience has evolved tremendously and that we today in 2018 are a Conscious bunch while choosing to forget at times. I pray for a heightened awareness so that in this knowing we can shift and align our choices to co-create more peace, love, acceptance and non-judgment and less violence, fear and attack. We all get to drink from the cup filled with love. And there is enough.”
Im Coming Home
“This is a brand new song born out of those moments when I am aware of the ego’s desire to try and get me to forget or distract myself from the truth of perfect peace due to outside circumstances and how stillness and Spirit bring me back home to my heart where all is well.”
