Loog Guitars and Fender Musical Instruments Corporation have unveiled the latest expansion of their Fender × Loog collaboration: a new Sonic Blue finish for the kid-sized Stratocaster® and Telecaster® models. The release brings one of Fender’s most celebrated vintage colors to a new generation of young players, pairing classic design with Loog’s approachable, education-focused format.
First introduced in the early 1960s, Sonic Blue has remained one of Fender’s most recognizable finishes—an airy, surf-era hue closely associated with creativity and the West Coast sound. Long favored by artists such as Jeff Beck and John Mayer, the color has become iconic in both collector and player circles.
The new Sonic Blue Loog models nod directly to that legacy while adapting it for first-time players. The finish gives the mini Stratocaster® and Telecaster® a distinctly “grown-up” aesthetic, making them feel like real instruments rather than scaled-down toys.

Launched in 2023, the Fender × Loog partnership combines Fender’s legendary silhouettes with Loog’s award-winning 3-string beginner design. Each guitar includes:

- Fender’s classic headstock shape
- Loog chord flashcards
- Access to the Loog Guitar app, which includes video lessons and interactive learning games
The simplified three-string setup is intended to make early learning easier, while still building skills that translate directly to a six-string instrument later.
