RX Post Production Suite 3 includes iZotope's top-end processors including updated versions of RX 7 Advanced and Insight 2. Post Production 3 also comes with Neutron 2 Advanced, RX Loudness Control, Tonal Balance control and 250 sounds from Pro Sound Effects and Groove3.
Using specific modules, the new updated RX 7 Advanced adds deeper control for problematic dialog recordings found in post-production work. Newly added to the standalone version only is: Dialogue Contour--a way to change the intonation of dialogue using speech pitch correction to adjust inflection in a phrase--word-by-word. Also newly available in the standalone, AudioSuite and plug-in versions is Dialogue De-reverb, a way to reduce unwanted reverb and room tone from dialog using an algorithm optimized to spoken dialogue.
Just to bring you up to date, the standalone RX 7 Advanced and AudioSuite versions have these function-named modules: De-crackle, De-Hiss, De-plosive, De-rustle, De-wind, Deconstruct, the (aforementioned) Dialogue Contour and Dialogue De-Reverb, Dialogue Isolate, Interpolate, Mouth De-click, Music Rebalance, Spectral De-noise, Spectral Repair, and Voice De-noise.
For post-production multi-channel support, RX Post Production Suite 3 will applied these processes to all channels including up to Dolby ATMOS 7.1.2.
iZotope's audio metering and analysis plug-in Insight 2 has an all-new look and is updated with the new film and TV, broadcast loudness standard targets. You can set it to: EBU R128, BS.1770-1, BS.1770-2/3/4, ATSC A/85, and OP-59 standards as required. Insight 2 has an expandable GUI including the 3D spectrogram and a new Intelligibility Meter that measures the intelligibility of dialogue compared to the rest of the mi for ensuring the dialog can be clearly heard.
I tried out the new Music ReBalance tool on a finished stereo mix. I was able to adjust the level of the vocals relative to the rest of the track. I could also adjust the level of the bass and the percussion (drum kit) and there is a fader for adjusting other parts of the mix NOT identified as vocals, bass or drums. This works pretty well and after rendering it out, sounded very good considering the magic it is accomplishing.
So iZotope's new RX Post Production Suite 3 features updated versions of RX 7 Advanced and Insight 2 make it vital for post-production work. I have been finding it extremely useful for cleaning up vocal and instrument tracks in my Pro Tools mixing projects. So I highly recommend it as an essential collection of tools for any audio professional! It sells for $999 MSRP.
