CASA INDIO Set For Los Angeles May 24-June 8

casaINDIOIndio, the dark lager Mexican beer, and VICE Media have announced their latest collaboration, CASA INDIO – a new multi-city and multi-functional space where art, music and culture will live under the same roof, encouraging consumers to “Do Their Thing” and interact with talented artists from Mexico and the U.S. The series of events will kick off in Los Angeles (May 24 – June 8) and will pop up in Chicago, Austin and San Francisco through November, raising funds along the way for the National Museum of Mexican Art (NMMA).

Following the success of last year’s “Hola Indio” music and art tour, CASA INDIO will take over a raw space in each market for an average of 10 days, offering guests 21 and older access to live performances from award-winning bands and DJs; interactive workshops led by talented artists; art shows and screenings; celebrity meet-and-greets; locally-sourced munchies; and an Indio-stocked bar. The programming will change every day, exposing guests to an incredibly unique array of experiences.

Confirmed artists for the kick-off events in Los Angeles include Los Macuanos, Elis Paprika, Daniel Maloso, San Pedro el Cortez, I Can Chase Dragons!, Teen Flirt, Chico Sonido, Sea Lions, Roses, Katy Goodman, Dani Shivers and others, who will perform in front of a one-of-a-kind mural created especially for CASA INDIO by Benjie Escobar, renowned LA street artist. Additional programming will include the screening of Las Nueve Vidas de Paco (Paco’s Nine Lives) by Girl/Chocolate Skateboards; workshops by Level Press Ink, and programming by Burger Records, KXLU 88.9 FM, Group Tightener, and much more.

To learn more about these private events, consumers 21 and older can visit CasaIndio.vice.com. For those unable to attend, the Indio Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/IndioBeer) and Instagram stream (@IndioBeer) will capture every bit of creativity stemming from CASA INDIO, including exclusive videos, photos, and much more. Guests will also be encouraged to share their own experience using the #CASAINDIO hashtag.

The doors to CASA INDIO will be open to guests 21 and older in LA from May 24 – June 8; in Chicago from July 19-28; in Austin from Sept. 6-15; and will conclude in San Francisco on Oct. 25 – Nov. 3 with a Día de los Muertos-themed fanfare.
