L.A.-based and Japanese-backed music titan Avex Music Group has signed the producer of Drake’s new single “What Did I Miss,” Elyas, in the wake of the track’s immediate success, debuting at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 this week and climbing to No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. chart and Apple Music. Elyas is a several-time collaborator with Drake along with 21 Savage, Young Thug, J. Cole, and more.
AMG’s Director of A&R Brennen Bryant scouted the GRAMMY nominee and described Elyas as “one of the most sought after collaborators in hip hop” in a press release. “We are thrilled to welcome him into the Avex family as he continues to do groundbreaking work with the world’s most successful artists.”
