Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Argentinian trap/freestyle star, Duki.
“Duki is a true pioneer in the rapidly-growing trap movement that is taking the world by storm,” said Gustavo Menendez, President, Warner Chappell Music, Latin America. “His versatility as an artist, and his ability to seamlessly incorporate elements of the underground and the mainstream set him apart. We’re excited to work together to continue to challenge what’s possible.”
Duki won the popular freestyle competition, El Quinto Escalón, in 2016 with “No Vendo Trap,” which became the first original song by a participant to reach over a million views on YouTube. Duki became the first national trap artist to sell out a show at Buenos Aires’ most prominent venue, Luna Park. He recently completed a tour in Spain and is performing in Chile, Perú, Montevideo and the U.S.
Duki frequently collaborates with fellow local and international artists, including rising Latin trap star Khea’s “Loca” and “Hitboy” and Colombian sensation J Balvin’s remixed version of “Machika.”
Last year, Duki was nominated for Best Latin South America Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
