SoundSync Music Presents Sync Licensing Workshop

As part of a continued partnership, Austin Music Foundation and SoundSync Music are proud to present Time To Pivot: Sync Licensing Workshop – a free and informative introductory course designed to provide valuable insight into the complex world of sync licensing. Licensing your music can be a great source of revenue for independent musicians, and is one area of the music industry that continues to thrive amidst the pandemic.

SoundSync Music founder Nathalie Phan will give participants the tools to independently navigate the business of music licensing while learning about the basics of copyright, how to compose for film + TV, and how to approach and research music supervisors.

The course will help answer questions such as:

“What’s the difference between an exclusive and non-exclusive contract?”

“What are music supervisors looking for?”

“How do I set myself up for success when I compose a track for sync?”

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the workshop, and a PDF version of the presentation will be available for download on the AMF website following the workshop. RSVP to join on Zoom or stream the workshop on the AMF Facebook page.

This event is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
