The California Copyright Conference (CCC), a nonprofit organization founded in 1953, has long served as an educational and networking hub for professionals in the music and entertainment industries. Known for its insightful programming, CCC brings together experts from across the creative and legal spectrum to engage in timely, thoughtful discussions that matter to today’s industry professionals.
On June 17, the CCC, alongside Women In Music Los Angeles (WIM LA), will present Sisterhood Spotlight: Women, Wisdom & Wellness in Entertainment, a virtual panel aimed at celebrating and amplifying the voices of women in entertainment. The event promises “a powerful, honest, and uplifting conversation” according to a statement from the organization, focusing on the unique challenges and triumphs women experience in the industry.
Attendees can expect an in-depth look at how leading women in music and entertainment have navigated career milestones, industry gatekeeping, and personal challenges, while also prioritizing wellness and community along the way. “Our panelists will share their personal stories of resilience, success, and everything that made it worthwhile,” the statement continues. From breakthrough moments to behind-the-scenes struggles, the conversation will explore how mentorship, mental health support, and collaboration have played a critical role in sustaining long-term careers.
Moderated by Creative Music Strategy & Licensing Consultant Debra Delshad, the event will feature a panel of accomplished women:
- Kimberly Cooper, Music Specialist at Apple TV+
- Sierra Lever, Head of Hip-Hop/R&B/Afrobeats at Amazon Music
- Julia Michels, Music Supervisor at Format Entertainment
- Tiff Randol, Co-Founder of Mamas In Music
The event is open to the public, with a registration fee of $5 for non-members and complimentary admission for CCC members. As the announcement notes, “With real talk, practical resources, and maybe even a few laughs, we’ll celebrate the power of sisterhood in entertainment.”
This panel offers a timely and necessary look at the often-unspoken realities behind successful careers—and the community it takes to thrive. Advance reservations are encouraged for what promises to be a meaningful and resonant conversation.
