ole Acquires 5 Alarm Music

ole, the growing independent rights management company, has acquired 5 Alarm Music, an independent production music library, adding to what is already a comprehensive production music resource. The move adds 130,000 controlled tracks to ole’s existing production music library, which now totals over 750,000 controlled tracks.

5 Alarm Music, based in Pasadena, CA, will continue to operate independently, serving its existing client base and market. Cassie Lord will remain President of 5 Alarm Music. Under the deal, 5 Alarm will gain access to ole’s significant infrastructure resources to fuel future growth and to ensure that all clients are provided with best-in-class service. In addition, the deal will open up new cross-marketing opportunities for 5 Alarm with ole’s other production music library businesses, such as MusicBox, Nelvana Production Music, Auracle, Cue and others, which will be immediately added to 5 Alarm’s repertoire offering.

“ole is happy to significantly expand our services and repertoire offering to clients in collaboration with 5 Alarm, a stand-out, independent in the space,” said Robert Ott, Chairman and CEO of ole. We’re looking forward to working with Cassie and her staff.”

“5 Alarm Music is committed to elevating production standards through quality music, and we’re happy to team up with our kindred spirits at ole to amplify that message,” said Lord. “The independent spirit has always been a crucial part of our company’s identity, so ole’s ‘majorly indie’ philosophy resonated strongly with us. We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”

5 Alarm Music is an independent production music library for film, television, radio and commercials, offering access to more than 80 production-music libraries from around the world, as well as custom music based on customer specifications, music replacement for pre-existing broadcasts, music editing services, cutting edge music technology, 24/7 music directors to assist with searches and more.
