Lord Huron took Nashville on a little journey to the unknown on Friday and Saturday night at Nashville’s newest venue, The Pinnacle.
The Pinnacle boasts a 4,500 person capacity with a variety of seating options. Guests can choose from reserved seats in the lower balcony, a traditional standing floor, or enjoy the bleacher-style viewing area towards the back of the floor. Since opening in February, it has been the hottest spot for private events and shows in Nashville Yards.
Fresh off the release of their latest album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, Lord Huron is riding high on their success. The band, made up of Ben Schneider (guitar/vocals), Tom Renaud (guitar/vocals), Miguel Briseño (bass/keys/theremin), and Mark Barry (drums), first began as Schneider’s solo project before evolving into the ensemble it has become today. While many know them for their hit song “The Night We Met,” Lord Huron has been enchanting audiences since 2010.

The headlining set began with “Who Laughs Last,” a prose-heavy piece featuring the voice of Kristen Stewart. It was a fitting choice to serve as a dramatic opener for the evening, as what set this show apart from most others was the choreographed theatrics. The story of Lord Huron’s discography unfolds before the audience through 2 dancers. Their movement on and around the stage’s set pieces brought the stories to life as they navigated up and down the mountains, around phone booths, and even on instruments. Truly, the creative direction for the production is phenomenal.
The setlist provided a generous spread of songs from the band’s catalog (see below), with particular highlights being “La Belle Fleur Sauvage,” and “Meet Me in the Woods.” As vines descended from the ceiling to the stage, “The World Ender” kicked off the encore, which included “Nothing I Need” and “Not Dead Yet,” before ending with “Digging Up the Past.”
Whether you are a Lord Huron super-fan (aka, a World Ender), or a casual fan of live music, this tour is truly one you do not want to miss. Their knack for exquisite storytelling is one rarely found on stage today, and certainly something that the world needs more of. Simply put, they left Nashville enchanted.
