Dockery's Songwriting Contest

Calling All Songwriters: Enter Dockery's Songwriting Contest

Dockery's, a restaurant in Charleston, SC, is hosting a Songwriting Contest. Winners will perform at Dockery's with professional songwriters from Nashville who have worked with artists including Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McIntire, Tim McGraw, George Strait and Darius Rucker.

Dockery's Songwriter Contest is designed to offer opportunities to every songwriter who participates.

Anyone who writes and performs their own original songs is eligible to compete. Entries will be judged by our panel of songwriters: Clay Mills, Steve Dean, and Billy Montana. The panel will invite a select number of Charleston-area songwriters to perform with them on the Dockery's stage in October.

Each entry requires the following elements:

  • Up to three (3) songs, each five (5) minutes or less in duration, provided via clyp.it or youtube.com link
  • Complete lyrics for each song submitted
  • A completed web application
  • A short bio/story about you

How to Enter:
