Jorma delivers a relaxed, self-assured and entertaining sampler of the Americana roots that have nourished his musical odyssey over the past 50 (!) years. Prior to his time with the Airplane and Hot Tuna, the guitarist steeped himself in folk, blues and bluegrass, and has now come full circle. Standards are delivered with pedal steel, mandolin and fiddle by some of the scene’s best players. Check out the acoustic reworking of the psychedelic Tuna epic “Barroom Crystal Ball” (with Casady and Mitterhoff), and the heartfelt “In My Dreams,” where he croons “We never seem to age in my dreams.” – David Arnson
