Weary Ramblers Wins Top Honors in 22nd Annual Acoustic Music Awards. Past top winners in the past includes: Charlie Parr, Dom Flemons, Ellis Paul, Jonatha Brooke, David Francey and more.
News broke this week that "critically Acclaimed Acoustic Folk Group Weary Ramblers won top honors in the 22nd Annual IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards) with their song 'Kentucky Never Seemed So Blue.' They also won Best Bluegrass Award."
"We are honored to have won the top prize of the International Acoustic Music Awards! We're excited to now be a part of this elite club of winners. Big thanks to the IAMA for this immense recognition!" said Weary Ramblers (Kathryn Severing Fox & Chad Elliott), the Overall Grand Prize winner of the 22nd Annual IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards).
"We are so honored to win the top spot, Charlie Parr won the top spot last year", the Weary Ramblers later told MC.
"Weary Ramblers missed out on the top spot last year. They preserved this year and won the top spot this year, we are glad they tried again, this shows that their hard work paid off. Many entrants have given up after just one try but they persisted", said Jessica Brandon, Artist Relations at IAMA.
"IAMA list of past award recipients is impressive, with artists such as Meghan Trainor, Dom Flemons, David Francey, Ellis Paul, Jonatha Brooke and more", said Bud Johnson, radio host of Acoustic Accents, KUAC radio, Bud Johnson.
