Taste of Chaos Festival in San Bernardino, CA

On a sweltering Saturday afternoon under clear blue skies, the Rockstar Energy Drink Taste of Chaos 2016 music festival returned for the second year in a row to the foothills of San Bernardino, CA, closing out its successful 37-date coast to coast trek. Thousands of black clad fans of emotional rock gathered on the grassy slopes of the San Manuel Amphitheater festival grounds to cheer on the marquee lineup packed with mid-2000s nostalgia, featuring some of the biggest, most influential bands in past decades—Hot Rod Circuit, the Early November, Reggie and The Full Effect, the Anniversary, the Starting Line, Senses Fail and two bands from the '90s, the Get Up Kids and Quicksand, both garnering new fans as they rocked their sets under the blazing sun.

As the sun started to set, Saosin took the stage to the cheers of diehard fans, reunited with their original frontman Anthony Green. As the light show began, it was time for the two co-headliners—Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional, leaving the crowd emotionally drained and wanting more.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Taste of Chaos 2016 music festival was a good time. The thousands in attendance did not leave disappointed as the San Bernardino festival closed out the tour. Each concertgoer experienced a true sense of community with lots of dancing and rocking out amongst giant inflatable slides, carnival rides (including everyone’s favorite chair-swinging "Yo-Yo"), merchandise tents, food trucks and cold craft beer….lots of cold craft beer.
