Slayyyter Stakes Early Claim for Breakout Act of Coachella '26

The early part of Coachella W1 D1 saw us take in a lot of DJ action, namely Soraya and Fifi on the DoLab Stage, and Novasoul at Mojave. Sadly, we weren't able to get near Yuma to see Groove Armada, such was the demand to get inside the closed-off tent.

But Slayyyter more than made up for it. A couple of years ago, we left Coachella convinced that Raye was going to be a big star (and we were right). This time, we have a similar hunch about Slayyyter.

It might be because she refuses to settle on one genre. We get hip-hop rhymes and death metal growls in amongst the alt-pop greatness. A dab of industrial. But more importantly, the tunes are HUGE!

"Old Technology" a crunchy, punky beat, as is "Yes Goddd." The biggest reaction is save for "Beat Up Chanel$," but the whole set was beat-perfect.

Throughout it all, the crowd went apeshit and Slayyyter lapped it up. Watch this space.
