Synacure: When it comes to club music, the Nuyorican Soul record, produced by Little Louis Vega and Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez in the late '90s, which also featured artists like George Benson, Roy Ayers, and others, was a high point in blending house music with actual live playing and live performances.
Each track was an experience--different and beautiful. And, taken together, it remains one of the most ambitious club records ever put together. It was definitely an inspiration behind “I Luv NYC (You Got What I Want)” in terms of the Latin house vibe, the guitars, and the anthemic melody. We need more music that dares to be different.
Synacure's "I Luv NYC" single is out now, and the "Who Are We Now" single is released August 21.
