Music Licensing Company Needs Indie Rock Songs

Anthemic, Modern Indie Rock Songs with male or female vocals are needed by a music licensing company with a long and impressive list of great placements in Film, TV, and Commercials.

Music Licensing Company is seeking Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general wheelhouse of the following references:

"Rumble" by Zayde Wolf

"Legend" by The Score

"Watch Me" by The Phantoms

IMPORTANT NOTE: This company offers an exclusive deal, and is only interested in signing material from composers who have worked for libraries and licensing companies in the past and understand how standard deals work. If you don't have that experience and you don't know the drill on typical deals, then they politely ask that you don't submit to this request.

Send them bombastic, current-sounding Indie Rock Songs with huge drums, great melodies, and anthemic choruses. We suggest sticking with typical Rock-band instrumentation, but some cool modern-sounding ear candy sprinkled in here and there might add some extra "oomph" to your submissions. If you're planning on using virtual instruments or samples, we'd suggest adding some real, organic instruments to the mix to add that authenticity factor. Well-performed vocals are essential if you want to catch the attention of this company! Imagine the kind of music you'd hear in sports recaps on ESPN – that's what they're looking for!

Lyric Tip:

Lyrics that avoid using specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity will probably make them happiest. Do NOT copy the referenced acts or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an exclusive deal. You'll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. The publisher will get 100% of the publisher's share, and you'll get 100% of the writer's share. You must own or control your master and composition rights. Since this is an exclusive deal, please be sure your material is NOT already signed with any other libraries or catalogs. Please submit as many songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI.

Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, Nov. 15.
