The deadline for submissions to the Music City SongStar songwriting competition has been extended until Dec. 1. The grand prize winner will win $5,000 cash, a Bluesman Vintage guitar and the opportunity to perform at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville at our exclusive Music City SongStar Awards show in February. Each song submitted shall receive a comprehensive evaluation, with the lyrics, music and commerciality fully reviewed, along with suggestions for fine-tuning your song.

All semi-finalists will receive a personalized press release for their own use. The top twenty-five finalists and semi-finalists will also have free-access to premium content on the Music City SongStar website, which will feature advice and insider information from top music industry and songwriting professionals.
The Second place winner will receive one thousand two hundred dollars, an invitation to perform their song at an exclusive event at the Bluebird Café, plus a one-hour mentoring session with singer-songwriter Leslie Satcher (who has had songs recorded by Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, George Strait, Kellie Pickler and many others). Additional five hundred dollars plus hotel accommodations included upon arrival in Nashville.
