Kobalt has appointed Jeannette Perez to Senior VP, Head of Global Synch & Brand Partnerships. In her new role based in Los Angeles, Perez will oversee the global team in creatively pitching, identifying and securing new film, TV, video game and trailer opportunities. Additionally, she’ll continue to find creative licensing opportunities in advertising, along with brand partnerships for Kobalt’s vast catalog and roster. Perez will also work closely with the publishing and label services creative teams, soliciting new clients and expanding our reach into the writer and artist communities.

With more than 15 years of experience and admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Florida, Perez has expertise in the art of creative music placement, business development, licensing, copyright and valuation of music rights. Since joining Kobalt, she has restructured and grown the department by 45% increasing service capabilities and has served as the liaison between Kobalt and external agencies including Deutsch LA and 72andSunny among others. Under her management, Kobalt’s North American synch business grew more than 30% in fiscal year 2015. Perez has successfully placed members of Kobalt’s roster of talent in key advertising campaigns including Alt-J with Dr. Pepper, Roy Orbison with Nationwide, Jax Jones with Apple and Until The Ribbon Breaks with Applebee’s.
