GRAMMY Museum to Host The Immediate Family for Virtual Conversation

Quarto Valley Records recording artists The Immediate Family, a rock & roll band composed of longtime friends and legendary musicians Danny Kortchmar (guitar and vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitar and vocals), Leland Sklar (bass), Russ Kunkel (drums) and Steve Postell (guitar and vocals), will be featured in a live online conversation, “Catching Up with The Immediate Family,” hosted by the GRAMMY Museum® on July 9. This conversation marks the second engagement for the Immediate Family with the GRAMMY Museum (first appearance in 2018) and comes closely on the heels of the release of the band’s U.S. first single “Cruel Twist,” from their upcoming EP on Quarto Valley Records. The discussion will be moderated by Scott Goldman and will take place on July 9 at 4 p.m. PDT for fans to tune in and watch live from home.

“I’m so excited to speak with five of the most accomplished musicians and songwriters around,” stated Scott Goldman, Host/Moderator, GRAMMY Museum Public Programs. “It only makes sense for them to be in a band together. These guys are both witness to, and participants in, music history! (And the new single sounds great!).”

Tickets are on sale now at http://grammymuseum.orgThis fundraiser event will help support the GRAMMY Museum's mission to continue its music education programs and digital content virtually while its doors are closed due to COVID-19.

Additionally, production continues on the group’s upcoming documentary The Immediate Family, filmmaker Denny Tedesco’s exploration of the band’s rich history.
