Gibson Garage London Opens with Series of Music Events

Throughout the past month, music icons and emerging artists, music fans, and the Gibson team gathered to celebrate the official grand opening of the Gibson Garage London. The Gibson Garage is the ultimate guitar experience and destination for music lovers across the globe and the place to explore Gibson’s 130-year music history. The Gibson Garage London marks the first-ever Gibson flagship store outside of the U.S. and follows the successful opening of the Gibson Garage Nashville. The Gibson Garage London is located at 61-62 Eastcastle StLondon, UK W1W 8NQ just off Oxford Street.

Inside the Gibson Garage London, visitors can plug in and play more than 300 electric and acoustic guitars across Gibson, Gibson Custom, Gibson Acoustic, Epiphoneand Kramer, explore the entire collection of Maestro pedals, and more across 4,000 square feet of retail space.

At the Gibson Garage London kickoff event music icons Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Sir Brian May, James Bay, and Rosie Frater-Taylor were on hand to celebrate the opening with a special “In Conversation” event with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page, and live music on the Gibson Garage London stage. On opening day, Saturday, February 24, music fans lined up around the block starting at 4:00AM for access. Upon opening the doors, the Gibson Noel Gallagher ’78 Les Paul Custom hand-signed guitars sold out completely within the first 30 minutes, with all profit from the sales of these guitars going to the Teenage Cancer TrustRitchie Faulkner of Judas Priest, The Blackout, Tyler Childers Band, and Gibson Generation Group artist Charlie Churchill came out to usher in an opening day with a packed crowd all day long.
