The Flambeau Fest vision began in 2015 with producers Mark Miller, Eddie Pearce and David Addison. Flambeau is poised to rekindle an area of southern Louisiana that has not seen the launch of a large-scale music event since the devastating Baton Rouge area flood of 2016. While paying homage to history and the heritage of its namesake, Flambeau will establish its own traditions to emerge as a truly unique experience, blending current and classic to showcase all Louisiana has to offer.

Flambeau Fest is a two-day, multi-stage event at Ascension Fields featuring musical artists, regional breakout performers, southern cuisine, local and regional artisans, and the community-orientated hospitality that defines southern Louisiana culture. Flambeau Fest will present three stages filled with music. The MAIN Stage will be loaded with national Country artists and southern rock icons. The Torch Stage will showcase rising stars in country music, including multiple regional breakout talents. Unique to Flambeau Fest, the Nashville Songwriter stage will host the acoustic melodies of some of Nashville's #1 hit songwriters, strumming inside the Louisiana Libations Tent which offers tastings from local craft breweries, distilleries, and wineries. This is complemented by the separate Food Promenade, which features a wide variety of authentic cuisine from the region's top vendors.

"We feel the flambeau itself is an authentic metaphor for the torch lighting the way to new experiences - a creative, musical, and cultural expansion," says Flambeau producer Mark Miller. "The image spoke to what we wanted to build. Flambeau Fest will serve proudly as a new torchbearer for the southern festival."

For local and regional businesses, Flambeau Fest will drive tourism dollars toward the effort of rebuilding an area hit hard by flooding. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from this year's event will be donated to the Lynyrd Skynyrd Foundation for education and cultural impact.
