Def Jam Recordings, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), has promoted Bill Evans to Vice President, Urban Promotion, Def Jam Recordings. In his new post, Evans will help manage and support Def Jam’s national field staff to orchestrate the successful roll-out of new record releases to all Urban radio formats, including Mainstream and Urban AC. Evans will also oversee the development and execution of all national radio and advertising campaigns. He will continue to work closely with his Pop and Rhythm counterparts as well as the Marketing staff to assure the best outcome for all Def Jam artists. Evans is based out of New York.
