Erin of Vancouver punk band Alien Boys told us about her love for her Gibson SG-1.
Erin: I play a '90s era Gibson SG-1 through a modified Marshall JCM 900 half stack. I like it real simple, no pedals, only one pickup, no muss no fuss. It's more than my favorite; I wouldn't want to play anything else. After hundreds of shows my amp looks like its been to hell and back. The logo is so mangled when soundtechs ask about it I tell them it's my off-brand knock-off 'Marsnall'.
I busted the head many years ago doing something foolish and the repair guy put some JCM 800 parts in it. Since then it's just my sound - when I borrow other people's amps they really don't compare.
