Album Review: Vanilla Fudge - Spirit of '67 (7/10)

Vanilla Fudge AlbumThe year 1967 was pivotal for psychedelic rock. Playing tribute to that historical moment, Vanilla Fudge navigates genres, on time-tested hits bound together by the arrangements and the band’s iconic sound. “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” draws you in with its signature bass line, standout organ and lead guitar. Other nuggets include “I Can See For Miles,” “I’m A Believer” and “Ruby Tuesday.” Though some reinventions are stronger than others, this ever-entertaining band never fails to put a unique stamp on any song.
