ALBUM REVIEW: "SET IT OFF" BY OFFSET (7/10)

Motown

Producers: Various

No longer a Migo, Offset searches for the right sound on his second studio album. Now in his early 30s, Offset appears to be optimistic, with a drive to prove that he can stand on his own, beyond Migos and Cardi B. With the recent death of his friend/former bandmate Takeoff to beefing with haters, Offset appears to be struggling with where his current path may lead him. Set It Off is rather intermittent and entertaining; but I’m not quite sure if Offset realizes that he may never experience artistic greatness again.
