ALBUM REVIEW: "CASINO WILDERNESS PERIOD" BY SACHA MULLIN (9/10)

Singer-songwriter Mullin defies description on many levels. He’s pop, but not in a strict hip-hop sense. He’s jazz, but not in a traditional be bop manner. And he’s R&B, but extends beyond that parameter, as well. He kind of embodies all of these idioms and maybe adds a few more to his trick bag. One thing is certain, Mullin sings like an angel, with a range that can shift from falsetto to otherworldly in a heartbeat. And the songs are cinematic, captivating and arrestingly dynamic.
