Sound Royalties Presents Generous Donation to California Copyright Conference’s Scholarship Fund for Music Students

In its latest show of support for the future of the music industry, specialty finance firm Sound Royalties delivered a generous donation to the California Copyright Conference’s (CCC) John Braheny Scholarship Fund. Named for the CCC’s former President, the Fund provides scholarships to music industry majors in the Los Angeles area.

Sound Royalties’ Director of Music Royalty Funding Reggie Calloway presented a check to the CCC at its holiday party in Hollywood on December 4. A longtime supporter of the organization’s philanthropic efforts, Sound Royalties’ latest donation will help fund the music scholarships for the next two years.

“Sound Royalties is committed to cultivating the next generation of musicians and industry professionals,” said Calloway, a five-time GRAMMY nominee who also serves on the CCC’s Board of Directors and as Chairman of its Scholarship Committee. “Through invaluable programs like this scholarship fund, we can help young students pursue their passion for music, further their education about the industry, and ultimately, foster their future success.”

CCC President David Quan added: “We are eternally grateful for the continued support from Sound Royalties, and for their very generous gift this holiday season, which added an extra spark of light and enthusiasm to our team’s celebration. From this donation, which will help us fund the education of music students, to their ongoing advocacy on behalf of music professionals, Sound Royalties is a wonderful company that we’re proud to call a partner.”

The CCC is an entertainment industry non-profit organization committed to all music industry issues, especially copyright-related matters.
