The Music Business Association (Music Biz) has announced that Platinum-selling Alternative Rock band KONGOS and JUNO Award-winning Alternative Country band The Strumbellas will co-headline “Pandora Presents,” a night of live music at The Cannery Ballroom on Monday, May 16. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. CT, with The Strumbellas taking the stage at 9 p.m. and KONGOS following at 10 p.m. The event will be open to all Music Biz 2016 convention attendees.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Pandora on this can’t-miss show that will bring these two very talented bands to our convention,” said James Donio, President of Music Biz. “KONGOS has already reached Platinum status with their smash single, ‘Come with Me Now,’ and are primed for even bigger success with their upcoming record Egomaniac. The Strumbellas racked up six awards in their native Canada for We Still Move on Dance Floors, and are set to invade America with their next album Hope.”

“Both KONGOS and The Strumbellas have huge followings on Pandora, and we’re happy to have the opportunity to present them at Music Biz 2016,” said Lars Murray, SVP of Pandora’s Music Makers Group. “Pandora’s mission is to help artists translate success on our platform to success in the mainstream, and there’s no better way to do that than to put them in front of the industry movers and shakers who can help them reach the next level.”

KONGOS is a South African-born American alternative rock band consisting of four brothers: Johnny, Jesse, Danie and Dylan Kongos—sons of recording artist John Kongos. Their 2014 album, Lunatic, spawned the Platinum single “Come with Me Now,” which also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Charts. The band released their latest single, “Take It from Me,” on April 15 and is set to release their new album, Egomaniac, on June 10.
