Although guitarist Don Cento is best recognized for his work with instrumental rockers Shibboleth, he often glides between genres. The man they call El Cento returns to his jazzy side with this spunky trio. Their debut comes stuffed with breezy vibes worthy of poolside Mojitos at the Chateau Marmont. There’s a trace of winking humor to these arrangements, too, as evident in the cheeky cover of Roseanne Cash’s “Seven Year Ache,” that finishes the album, making this a satisfying listen.
