Hit the Decks! It's French Producer Creeds

French producer Creeds started out on his musical journey as a piano player and metal fan.

"I lost interest in piano classes around 15 so my dad bought me a computer and a midi piano," he says. "It was at that time I discovered electronic music and I’ve just tried myself to make it on my own. Now I’m 33 and I’ve never stopped since. I would say it began to be serious when I launched my project with my mate JKLL and then with the singer Helen Ka, both in hardcore techno. Then obviously when I released 'Push Up' 2 years ago, it put the solo project on another level!"

The artist describes his sound as hard dance music.

"But in the end it’s just a mix of everything I like in the electronic scene," he says. "I feel like everything can be interesting and used in a way to create something cool. On a day to day basis I discover some new sonorities, new ways to arrange or think about music and that’s what drives me to keep exploring and producing."

Creeds recently released a collaboration with Bennett.

"Recently I’ve released a track with Vladimir Cauchemar, an artist I have loved for years," he says. "We teamed up with an amazing singer (Queen Millz) and made a kind of a « pop techno » track that we are super proud about. It’s always a pleasure to work with such talented artists, every studio session is a blessing and reminds me why I’ll never stop doing it! More recently we’ve dropped a collaboration with Bennett called « Milky Way ». Funny thing is our agencies booked the session in Berlin while we didn’t even know each other personally and it went so well in the studio we made most of the track in one day and then he finished it and killed it!"

As for gear: "Well I’m not that much into analog synths or modular, I’m a computer producer so I mainly use Ableton, Serum and some mixing plugins like the Fabfilter suite. I try now to have as few plugins as possible and it feels super good to not be lost with useless vsts as I used to have and I started!

For monitors I’ve been on Focal alpha 65 for years and I’ve now switched to Neumann KH120, same for my mic which is Neumann TLM103. I also own a Moog subsequent 37 but I have to admit I barely use it.
I also own a Nord piano for my liveset and every time I need a clean piano sound to record in my productions."

Looking ahead, Creeds has plenty planned for the rest of 2025.

"Many collabs coming before the end of the year with Beauz, Gonzi, Devin Wild and more," he says. "Next year I will focus more on solo tracks and remixes! I’m also planning to bring back the live show on stage for next year. Basically me with keyboards on stage actually playing my music, far from the dj set.

It’s something I’ve experienced last year and it was such a blast I can’t wait to do it again with a new team and new tracks! And obviously touring as a DJ keeps going with some gigs all around the world, next stop outside of Europe will be in Los Angeles at the end of the month, can’t wait for it!"
