Morrison Hotel Gallery Holds Celebrity Fine Art Fundraiser

In celebration of World Animal Day on October 4, Morrison Hotel Gallery, the world-renowned fine art music photography gallery, will be holding an online fundraiser in support of animal charity, Rational Animal.

Music icons Keith Richards, Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry and Pete Townshend are signing prints for this special fundraiser. In addition to fine art prints featuring these artists are best-selling images of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Who,  Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Neil Young, Billie Holiday and more. A limited edition of Sound wall art speakers featuring the photography of Henry Diltz will also be included.

"Thanks to the incredible generosity of many of our photographers, the proceeds from the sale of these classic, fine art prints will go to a great cause," says Peter Blachley, co-owner, Morrison Hotel Gallery. "Especially now with all the upheaval in the world, we are proud to be able to support those who are helping some of the most vulnerable animals around us."

Rational Animal is now operating on both coasts, bringing Mother's Comfort Project, sewing beds and toys for homeless animals in New York City, Westchester County, NY and Sacramento, California. In April this year, Rational Animal started providing beds and supplies for animals to Grass Valley Nevada City Animal Shelter and for homeless peoples’ pets at Hospitality House Pet Program in Nevada County, California. In October, some very dedicated volunteers will be recognized with Rational Animal's initiative, the Animal Guardian Awards® - six veteran songbird rehabilitators at Wildlife Rehabilitation & Release of Nevada County, California, will be recognized for their significant contributions to saving thousands of lives of local and migratory songbirds of Nevada County. Particularly with the devastating fires in California, recovery efforts are in high demand.

"Our scope focuses on the local and individual experience - each handmade blanket for an abandoned dog to lay on, each catnip toy for a lonely cat in the shelter, each person caring for an injured nestling who lost its parents - can make a difference to that individual animal," says Susan Brandt, founder of Rational Animal. "We are so grateful and humbled by the extremely generous donations of these photographers and the Morrison Hotel Gallery, these funds will go a long way in supporting the work we do for the animals.
