America is losing the war against HIV prevention: 1,000 young Americans ages 13-24 are newly infected with HIV every month, and many don’t know it. As part of its ongoing mission to deliver messages of awareness and prevention to 13-29 year olds, the annual VMA/Lifebeat Benefit Concert has become a major staple in the 24-hour lead-up to the VMA's, with concerts featuring on-the-verge artists and major acts, such as Phoenix, Kid Cudi, The Beastie Boys, Maroon 5, and more.

Lifebeat has been on the front lines of HIV/AIDS for 21 years, serving hundreds of thousands of at-risk youth at concerts, music festivals and clubs throughout U.S.

The organization recently released celebrity PSAs to promote National HIV Testing Day, featuring Snoop Lion, Swizz Beatz, Juanes, Khloe Kardashian, and Vinny from the Jersey Shore. Lifebeat is currently partnered with Juanes, Pink, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Fall Out Boy, on national tour outreach programs, providing youth with accurate, age-appropriate information about HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.
Lifebeat has also recently done outreach at festivals such as SXSW, Ultra Music Festival, Gay Pride NYC, LGBT Expo NYC, and the Electric Daisy Carnival NYC. Next up: Electric Zoo.
