Free Jazz Instruction with Award-winning Bryan Lipps

Renowned Jazz Soloist and Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) Jazz Band leader and Brass and Woodwind Department Head Bryan Lipps is celebrating being a part of the “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” Higher by Michael Buble.

From his time in the Joe LaBarbara quintet to his tenure as the international touring soloist for multi-Grammy recording artists Buble and John Mayer, Lipps has been featured on nearly every continent, every major entertainment TV show, and every major jazz festival in the world. His recording studio credits include a sizable list of RIAA multi-platinum and Grammy winning records. As a writer, he penned the chart-topping lead single and album title track “Nobody But Me” for Michael Buble’s 2016 Reprise release. As an active Los Angeles studio/jazz musician, he has worked closely with RIAA multi-platinum record producers David Foster, Bob Rock, Steve Jordan and Umberto Gatica.

Lipps will be teaching “Bandwidth, Jazz & the Journey” from June 19-23, 2023 at the  Summer at Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) program, a music program for students of all skill levels. Along with playing with the pros in ensembles, private lessons, performance and recording opportunities, the week-long course will teach about the business and music technology behind creating a successful career path.
