Indie-Kpop star Yves has joined forces with rising R&B-pop artist Lolo Zouaï for new single and video "Nail," and it's a sultry summer jam taken from an EP of the same name.
"A testament to Yves’ ever-evolving signature style, her five-song NAIL EP shifts the focus from the 'inner self' to the body—capturing its changing states through sensation, a statement reads. "The EP’s sound doesn’t anchor itself to one genre—it moves, shifts, and flows, providing a universal connection that traces back to Yves’ own evolving sensory world."
Meanwhile, the video is a moody affair. There appears to be a nod to film noir, to contemporary Korean cinema, and even a bit of David Lynch. It all works remarkably well.
