Detroit rapper Danny Brown has released new single and video "Starburst" and, true to form, it's a wonderfully experimental curveball of a hip-hop track. Brown's new seventh album is also called Starburst.
The press release describes the tune as, "a stylistically restless and shapeshifting track with a cinematic and cerebral video, giving Danny the perfect canvas to flex his unmatched lyrical dexterity."
Brown's rapid-fire delivery is matched by the strobe/flash-effects in the incredible video.
"Stardust marks another groundbreaking chapter for Danny Brown, an artist who has continually redefined indie rap on his own terms," they say. "His first album written in sobriety, Stardust finds Brown revealing a new level of vulnerability and creative clarity, stepping into territory few rappers would dare to approach."
