N.Y.-based David D’Alessio shows ample versatility on his top-notch recordings, particularly on the vocals, which ably cover the scale to meet his material’s shifting stylistic demands. There’s the falsetto-fueled “Before Tonight,” a ‘70s disco-inspired tune that not only showcases the artist’s vocals but also his backup band’s sax player, who really gets down. Shifting gears, “Everything We Want” is set to a low-key acoustic guitar and harmonium accompaniment to allow the artist to convey geniune warmth and humanity. Good genuine singing.  Finally, we hear an ‘80s/modern-pop sheen to “Spinning Bottle, “ a love song propelled by a great bass sound.  No question this artist’s work should be considered for film/TV placements.
