The Maui Music and Food Experience returned for its second year, bringing together music, cuisine, and community on the shores of Lahaina. Held at the Hyatt Regency on Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 16, the two-day fundraiser supported the Hua Momona Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to food security and community development on Maui.
This year’s event featured a surprise that elevated the weekend’s celebrations: Mick Fleetwood, legendary drummer and co-founder of Fleetwood Mac, made an unannounced appearance to perform. His presence added a special moment for attendees and underscored the strong ties between the music icon and the island he calls home.
A statement from the company discloses that the fundraiser was designed not only as a showcase of live performances and culinary excellence, but also as a way to raise awareness and resources for Hua Momona’s work in building sustainable, community-driven food systems.
