Glee star Lea Michele joined Grammy Museum Artistic Director Scott Goldman for a special interview Nov. 6. Michele is best known for her role as Rachel Berry on the Emmy winning TV series Glee and recently has been on tour with her co-star Darren Criss who played Blaine Anderson on the show. Prior to joining the cast of Glee, Michele was a child actor in the broadway plays Les Miserables and Ragtime and as a teen in Fiddler on the Roof. Michele told the audience how being in Spring Awakening and her friendship with Glee creator Ryan Murphy led to her auditioning for Glee and becoming Rachel Berry. Outside of acting Michele has released two albums Louder (2014) which was a number one and Places released just last year. After the Q&A, Michele was joined by her band for a few songs with the last one being “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” a song never performed out of the 800+ songs on Glee. Michele has dates booked through the first week of the December in the U.K.
