Imagem Music has signed a joint venture with RebelOne Entertainment, connecting a large independent music publishing company with RebelOne's writers, including: Scott Harris, who recently penned ten songs for Shawn Mendes' new album Handwritten; writer/producer Kyle Shearer (Tove Lo, Carly Rae Jepsen); artists SIVIK and Lesley Roy; and writer/producer Rob Guariglia.
"As we've developed our writers and producers over the last few years, we began looking for a partner that would not only help support us from a business perspective but also strengthen the creative needs of a growing company," said Marc Jordan, Principal of RebelOne. "After meeting with Jason Jordan and Kim Frankiewicz, I knew there were synergistic qualities inherent within the potential partnership. For that reason, we are very excited for this next phase of RebelOne Publishing with Imagem."
"For a long time we've admired how the RebelOne team discovers, develops and works with their talent. Culturally, it's a great fit for both companies to work together," said Jason Jordan, President of Imagem Music U.S. "We're excited for their extremely talented writers and artists to join the Imagem family, and the opportunities that we can create moving forward."
RebelOne writers have made an impact as songwriters, producers and artists in their own right. In addition to his work with Shawn Mendes, which includes new singles "Life of the Party" and "Something Big," Harris recently penned "Ain't Been Done" by Jessie J (Lava), and is working with several artists including Timeflies (Island) and Tiesto (Cassablanca/Republic).
Writer/producer Shearer produced an EP for Phoebe Ryan that led to her signing to Columbia Records, and is back in the studio working on her first LP after producing for artists Tove Lo ("This Time Around") and Carly Rae Jepsen ("Never Get to Hold You"). Los Angeles-based artist and songwriter Lesley Roy worked with producer Max Martin to release her debut album Unbeautiful (Jive Records), and has written for many artists including Adam Lambert ("Pop That Lock"). Other rising artists at RebelOne include Rob Guariglia, aka Robbie G, who topped the Christian chart with Shonlock for "Beyond this World" after touring with The Veronicas and Ryan Shaw; and Nashville's SIVIK, who made quite an impact in the blogosphere with his 2015 debut of material, most notably the song "High".
RebelOne Entertainment comprises the company's artist management (Alex Da Kid, Becky G, Jazmine Sullivan, LP, POWERS, Chelsea Lankes, Woolf and the Wondershow; writer/producer management (Billboard, A.C., Nate Company, Ben Romans, David Gamson, Dan Nigro); and label services for Alex Da Kid's KIDinaKORNER (Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Skylar Grey, Jamie N Commons).
