GRAMMY Audio Team Collaborates for Live Broadcast

The photo above captures quite the unique moment. Immediately prior to the 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony, "members of the event's audio team assembled for a group photo at the base of the stage inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena," according to a Recording Academy statement. "Taking place on Sunday, February 1, the 2026 Grammy Awards delivered a remarkable lineup of performances and tributes, while leveraging state-of-the-art technology to bring audiences around the globe a high-definition audio experience."

The photo features prominent members of the Recording Academy®, "including Grammy® Audio Producer Michael Abbott, as well as the following Producers & Engineers Wing® members: Grammy Co-Broadcast Music Mixer Eric Schilling, Grammy Broadcast Production Mix Audio Advisor Mike Clink, Grammy Broadcast Music Mix Audio Advisor Glenn Lorbiecki, Grammy Broadcast House Mix Audio Advisor Leslie Ann Jones, and several others."

“Every year, I’m inspired by the extraordinary dedication and creativity of our audio community,” Maureen Droney, Vice President of the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing, told MC. “The Grammy Awards are one of the most technically ambitious live broadcasts in the world, and that doesn’t happen without a team of innovators who are constantly raising the bar. From embracing new technologies to refining proven workflows, this year’s audio team delivered an experience that honored the artistry on stage while connecting audiences everywhere through exceptional sound.”
