Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland--who also gave his insight for singers in our May 2015 feature Singers on Singing--has passed away at the age of 48.
Dave Nevarro of Jane's Addiction reportedly tweeted about Weiland's death around 9 p.m. PST on Thursday, Dec. 3.
According to his Facebook page, announced early Dec. 4, Weiland "passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, MI, with his band The Wildabouts."
