Fender Launches the Li Ronghao Stratocaster

This week, guitar icons Fender announced the launch of its first artist signature from Mainland China, the Li Ronghao Stratocaster®.” The instrument is also Mandopop artist Ronghau's first signature release in his already-celebrated career.

“The Li Ronghao Stratocaster began as a vision I set in motion in 2022. In close collaboration with our teams in China and Japan, and with Li Ronghao himself, we have crafted an instrument that reflects his signature tone, refined aesthetic, and exacting performance standards,” said Peggy Dai, General Manager, Fender China, after MC reached out for comment. “Li Ronghao was a natural choice as Fender’s first signature artist in Mainland China. As one of the country’s most influential singer-songwriters, the guitar is central to his musical identity and creative voice. His lifelong dedication to the instrument has inspired a new generation of players, and we believe this collaboration will deepen engagement with the guitar community and expand Fender’s connection with musicians across China.”

"This guitar is our attempt to translate the idealism accumulated over years of creating and performing – regarding tone, feel, and aesthetics – into a tangible instrument. I hope everyone who plays it can feel the joy and freedom brought by playing and creating music.” said Li Ronghao in a statement.

Describing the guitar, Fender said in a statement that it's, "equipped with vintage-style single-coil neck and middle pickups, and Gotoh HB-Classic humbucker pickup at the bridge position. The alder body features a highly textured vintage shell pink finish, combined with a red tortoiseshell pickguard, creating a vintage yet fresh visual effect. The maple neck has a 1965 "C"-shaped profile, combined with a flatter 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium-jumbo frets. Other features include a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and vintage-style tuners. The guitar perfectly integrates the acclaimed artist Li Ronghao’s signature guitar tone and unique aesthetic style, delivering his ideal playing feel."
