European Music Publisher is Seeking Singer/Songwriter Songs

A European Music Publisher is in need of modern Singer/Songwriter Songs that’s pitching to a bunch of artists for their upcoming records!

They’re looking for great Songs in all tempos that could fit in the general stylistic wheelhouse of these references:

  • "Supermarket Flowers" by Ed Sheeran
  • "Praying" by Kesha
  • “No Name” by Ryan O'Shaughnessy

NOTE: They’re not just looking for typical “strummy” Singer/Songwriter Songs. They want Songs that are a bit more evolved - Songs that offer a fresh take on the Singer/Songwriter genre. Give them Songs that could cross over to today’s Top-40 market!

Please send mainstream-appealing Singer/Songwriter Songs in the general vibe and stylistic ballpark of the references. Submissions should have engaging melodies, great lyrics, and memorable choruses. Be sure that the vocals sound super current and not like they're from the classic '70's Singer/songwriter era. Check out the vocal approach on the references and take note of the not-so-predictable melodies and rhythmic approach in the delivery.

TAXI Tip: You can go with relatively simple, Stripped-Down Guitar/Vocal or Piano/Vocal performances, as well as versions with fuller productions.

The specific deal points will be negotiated directly with the publisher on a Song-by-Song basis. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD, please include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI.

Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Monday, September 7th, 2020.
