New York Coffee Festival Announces The Coffee Music Project NYC 2017

The Coffee Music Project will be returning to New York City for a third year this October. The Coffee Music Project is a music competition showcasing the creativity and talents of emerging musicians while engaging with the community among those who share a passion for great music and coffee culture. 100% of the profits support Project Waterfall in partnership with charity: water, bringing clean water and sanitation to coffee growing communities. Applications are now open and will close on Sept. 15. Musicians may apply via The Coffee Music Project website, coffeemusicproject.com/apply

"New York is one of the greatest cities in the world for music, art and coffee. We wanted to celebrate this amazing place and provide an opportunity for talented artists to perform incredible music, all in support of a great cause, Project Waterfall," says Jeffrey Young, Founder of The Coffee Music Project.

Musicians at all levels can apply online by submitting links to two YouTube video performances. The top 36 contestants will be selected to perform during the qualifying rounds, which will take place on Oct 8-10 in the heart of the East Village at Pianos NYC. From the qualifying rounds, 9 contestants will be selected to perform at this year's New York Coffee Festival on Oct. 13-15, before competing in the finals at Rockwood Music Hall, on Oct. 17.

The winner of the competition will receive $1,000 cash, a trip to London to perform the headline slot at The London Coffee Festival 2017, featured guest act performance slot at The Coffee Music Project London 2017, a free recording session and more. All nine finalists will also receive guaranteed slots to perform at The New York Coffee Festival, along with having one song featured on The Coffee Music Project 2017 album.
