Chicago's world-renowned hip-hop artist, actor and activist Common, performed for a live crowd at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
He was energetic and serenaded the women with songs like "All Night Long," "Retrospect for Life," "The Light" and "I Used to Love H.E.R.," but also turned up with songs like "The 6th Sense," "The Food," "The Game" and "Faithful".
The ambiance had good contrast with low lighting that was dim, but at times, had sparks of bright light to provide interesting decor. Those in attendance remained enthusiastic the entire night as a comfortable, confident, calm Common did his thing.
Overall, Common gave an intimate performance with real fans and was fully engaged with the audience throughout parts of the concert. Plus he freestyled throughout certain parts of his set just to keep things interesting, and his emceeing skills are on-point.
