BulletBoys

The BulletBoys at Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA

Beloved Sunset Strip rockers, The BulletBoys have reunited for the first time in eight years since a one-off show, and before that the last time the original lineup played together was twenty-six years prior. 2018 marked the 30th anniversary of the BulletBoys and on Dec. 30, the founding members Marq Torien (Guitar/Vocals), Mick Sweda (Guitar), Lonnie Vencent (Bass), and Jimmy D’Anda (Drums). After the original group disbanded, the band continued with Torien as the sole founding member and over the years included former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler, Jason Hook (pre-Five Finger Death Punch), DJ Ashba (Pre-GNR), and Brent Fitz (Pre-Slash & Myles Kennedy).

With 2019 and 2020 being the years of reunions and farewell tours it was fitting the BulletBoys returned with a hometown gig with over fifty shows scheduled throughout 2020. Although the original group released three albums together, they left a permanent mark on the late 80’s era of Glam Metal. Their debut album was released on Warner Bros. and included the hit singles “Smooth up In Ya,” and a cover of the O’Jays “For the Love of Money.” Both songs made the charts and were regularly played on MTV.

The BulletBoys played a total of fifteen songs. The show opened with a cover of Tom Wait’s “Hang On St. Christopher St,” and ended with “Kissin’ Kitty.  You would never know it had been 26 years since the group disbanded as the BulletBoys picked up right where they left off.

At this time, the only announced shows are the Rainbow Anniversary Party Apr. 19 and Rock the Dam Fest July 25. Be on the look-out for new BulletBoys music as well.
